Kitchen Tips and Tricks to Save you Time and Money
the series
How is it possible that anyone on the planet could have anything more to say about the kitchen? There has to be billions of articles, blogs, videos, books and cookbooks already circulating the world with easy kitchen tips and tricks to save you time and money. It’s true, and I have found myself questioning why I would even go down this road.
The answer is pretty simple though and comes from experience. I have been in charge of my own household kitchen for 35+ years. As a new mom, I spent a few years as a baker for a school district. A decade of my life was then spent working at a grocery store, mainly in the bakery. Another couple of years I simultaneously was working at an industrial bakery. And, from the time that I watched my mother and aunt make my own wedding cake; I was hooked on the beauty, artistry, skill and love that goes into one. I have made many over the years and they all included everything mentioned – mostly the love.
With all that being said, I really should have a pretty good understanding of all things kitchen. But still, I often find myself learning new things. New tips, new tricks, legit, bona-fide information to help me in my own kitchen. Also, being the mother of two amazing women who now have families and homes of their own, I realize I did not teach them everything I know – or I did and they just weren’t paying attention – ha! I suspect there are many young people out there standing in their kitchens with big question marks over their heads. My hope is to share some of the common sense things that help me here in our farm kitchen. Things to help you make better use of your time, your money and to help you find the love that can come from spending time in your kitchen.
